Come Cheer on your local NICA teams as they compete at the Dark Mountain Dash! There are many opportunities to volunteer and these student athletes could all use your support.
Volunteers are needed the day before the race and the day-of. The volunteer task listing and sign-up can be found here: North Carolina Race #3 Dark Mountain. The Bootlegger 100 is one of the most challenging and scenic gravel events of the year! The Alliance provides race support to this event. If you’d like to help volunteer, contact us and we’ll get you the details!
Join the Alliance for National Trails Day at Kerr Scott. We will meet at the Visitors Assistance Center at the main OVT trailhead. Work will begin at 9 am; please arrive a few minutes early if possible. Work will end around noon. Bring sturdy footwear and work gloves, plus water and snacks to take with you on the trail. Tools will be provided. A group ride is scheduled at 1pm.

Join the Alliance for National Public Lands Day at Kerr Scott. We will be meeting at the Visitors Assistance Center near the main OVT trailhead at 9am. From there we will divide into groups and cover several maintenance items along the OVT and adjacent trails. Bring sturdy footwear, work gloves, and water. Tools will be provided. Lunch will be provided by USACE, so please fill out the Trail Volunteer RSVP form so we can plan ahead. A group ride is scheduled shortly after lunch, at 12pm.
