The Bell Joy Rides are mountain bike rides for women looking for both camaraderie and a little challenge in a fun and supportive environment.
Our rides are pressure-free and worry-free. We make sure every rider is comfortable with the pace of the group and that no section of trail is beyond their ability level.
Our monthly Joy Rides are designed to suit all skill levels. The focus of our Joy Rides is simple: discover new places and make new connections while having fun on two wheels!

IMBA Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day will be celebrated on October 6th at 1 pm, location TBD. Join the Alliance for a fun morning of riding dedicated to the kids!
TKMBD is an annual celebration held officially on the first Saturday of October. The event, developed and coordinated by IMBA, strives to encourage communities around the world to join together and ride mountain bikes with youth. Over the years we’ve had tens of thousands of kids participate from across the globe, including: Italy, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Malaysia, and Mexico. Informal or formal, one child or 100 children, TKMBD celebrates the joy of riding in the dirt.
Besides being good, healthy fun, the goal is to develop a connection between kids and the natural world around them. Today’s children are tomorrow’s land managers and politicians — future decision-makers for important matters like recreation and access to public lands. How different might our current access landscape look today if previous generations of policy makers had grown up riding bikes on natural-surface trails?
An adult group ride when the kids’ ride commences (around 3 pm).
To register a kid, or if you are interested in helping with the event (or need more information at all), email the Alliance at email@example.com.
The trails surrounding Old Fort are some of the best in WNC, and the weekend of Nov 17-18th they are going to get some love. Along with two of our neighboring chapters, we will be helping promote and organize this exciting weekend of work, riding, and camaraderie. Base camp for the event will be on the doorstep of Pisgah at Camp Grier, and the hosts are offering dinner, lodging, and more (like free shuttles to the top of the trails). This will be a great time!
