This meeting is open to the public. • We will take care of some annual business, provide information on the state of the Alliance, and then have plenty of time for conversation. Some land managers that we work with will also be in attendance. Meeting is open to everyone, including non-members.
One of the business items for the meeting is to appoint new board members and officers for 2021. Other items on the meeting agenda:
Trails (Current Projects, Future Plans)
Current State of the Alliance (Financials, Membership)
Promotions (Trail Work Parties, Rides, Socials, Alliance Gear)
Outreach (Community Events, NICA Partnership)
We have a lot to share and want to hear from you about the trails you ride. Whether you’ve already joined the Alliance or just wanting some information, stop on by to find out what we are all about.
• Happy Thanksgiving’ from all of us at the Al • Happy Thanksgiving’ from all of us at the Alliance! We’re stoked to share that on November 23, 2020, the Pisgah National Forest's Grandfather Ranger District approved the ‘Mortimer Trails Project’, and that this partnership will bring more mountain bike trails to the Wilson Creek Area! Much gratitude to all our members & supportive partners that have worked tons of hours over the past couple of years to get this special project moving forward. ☝🏼click the link in our bio for the latest. 📸 @whiteblazemarketing

• Hey y’all, the forecast is looking fine ☀️, so pls join us for our Fall work party at Lake James State Park this Saturday at 9am.
• Reminder to pack water, snacks, sturdy footwear & work gloves. ⚒️ Tools will be provided.
• We’ll meet at the gravel parking lot at the MTB trail head, then coordinate to identify priorities on the Wimba Trail Loops. We would love to have about 20 volunteers to spread into small work groups. • Work ends around noon. Bring your bike & go for a ride afterward. * There is plenty of open space to spread out. Distancing & face coverings encouraged. Thanks for volunteering!

⬆️What a partnership! Public participation kic ⬆️What a partnership! Public participation kicked-off for the Old Fort Trails Project last night with a great online program and large turnout. Excellent job to all of those involved. We are excited about what this revitalized and updated trail network will do for the Old Fort area and our entire region. Win this wheelset! And a stem! With a FART knob... On August 9th, one of our friends - i9 family member and member of our community - had a seemingly simple crash when the unthinkable happened to her, resulting in a spinal cord injury. Susan underwent emergency surgery and is now on the mend with a positive attitude and an unwavering determination on her road to recovery.   Upon hearing the news that there was a fundraiser being set up to help, we wanted to do what what we could to help out a friend.   $5/entry to win any alloy system wheelset of your choice, an A35 or A318 stem, and one of the limited edition volumizer FART end caps - any color, any combo, go crazy! Multiple entries allowed. When else are ya gonna be able to help out someone in your community, win an I9 wheelset, and a limited edition piece all for five bucks? Check out the link in bio to find out more details about Susan and how you can get entered to win! Tell your friends, tag your friends, have them tell their friends! 🙌 *Link in bio for details* Huge thanks to everyone who's helping out and made this come together! @hqbike

• We’re having our fall membership drive . . . • We’re having our fall membership drive . . . pls help by joining or renewing the Alliance in October 🍁 & you will be entered to win great prizes 🤗! • Did you know the majority of your membership fee is spent directly on local trail efforts? Well it does. Mountain biking helps us all get away, clear our heads & stay healthy. I suspect every mountain biker has looked down a trail & appreciated it now more than ever. • Some areas are experiencing more people on trails than ever before. More people riding is a good thing but overcrowded & overused trails create new challenges. • As a trail steward & advocate you matter more than ever. Protecting & maintaining the trails we all enjoy is increasingly important — a responsibility we all happily own. Developing & maintaining trails close to home presents a great opportunity to get involved. • We invite you to express your support by joining or renewing your Alliance membership . . . ➡️ consider tapping the link in our bio👆🏼today & enter to win (1 of 10) amazing prize packages. It only takes a few minutes‼️ #ridenwnc #FallMembershipDrive #MoreTrailsMoreThanEver
