Gallery: Dark Grind Race at Dark Mountain

Apr 13, 2017 | News

The Southern Classic Mountain Bike Series returned to Kerr Scott on April 9 for the annual Dark Grind, the 3rd stop of the 2017 series. In cooperation with the USACE and the Brushy Mountain Cyclists Club (BMCC), the Alliance promoted this long-standing race. Proceeds from this event benefit the chapter trail fund.

The race used a seven-mile loop that including upper Fish Dam Creek and a combination of all the smaller trails at Dark Mountain, aka the “Burn” lap. This featured some of the great changes to Dark Mountain, including new trail and excellently reworked downhill sections.

The Alliance would like to give a major shout out to Don Cox of Bald Guy Brew for sponsoring our event and supplying coffee to all podium finishers. This has been a big hit and we really appreciate the support!

All the dirt on the full series can be found at soclassicmtb.com.

Here’s a few (101) photos from the Dark Grind! Feel free to share them on your social network of choice.
