The Grandfather District will be opening several trails and additional roads on Friday, November 22, including some in Wilson Creek, Old Fort, and other areas. This follows the road openings announced last week, and marks another update to the closure order issued after Hurricane Helene.
So what exactly is open? Check the latest Helene updates on the G5 Trail Collective website, as well as the official release from the USFS.
Trail users should exercise caution on the roads and trails, as storm-related hazards may still be present. Visitors are encouraged to be extra attentive to posted signage and remain alert for work crews who may still be active during ongoing recovery efforts.
