The Inaugural Mortimer Fall Trail Weekend was a resounding success! We had great weather and a lot of fun while riding, volunteering, and camping out.
Thirty-nine volunteers from all over the state participated in the Saturday workday, which included maintenance on some hard-to-reach segments of Yancey Ridge Trail.
Based out of the Mortimer Campground, this event supports the the Mortimer Trails Project which has brought significant funding, new trails, and a reduced maintenance backlog to the Grandfather District Trails in the Mortimer Area.
Join us for the next trail workday in Pisgah on Sunday November 12 for the Wilson and Woodruff Work Party at 9am (meeting at the top of 21 Jumps).
