NC NICA Athletes Giving Back to Trails in ‘24

Feb 29, 2024 | News

Have you heard? NC NICA athletes from the North Carolina Interscholastic Cycling League (NCICL) have big goals of giving back to local trails this year, aiming to complete over 3,000 hours of volunteer work this season. Currently they are over halfway there! Last season the league’s athletes logged over 1800 hours of trail work on local trail systems all across North Carolina.

We would like to recognize all of the NCICL athletes, including those on the teams in our region (Burke BearCats Composite, Caldwell County Black Bears, Newton Conover Composite, Watauga Middle Composite, Watauga Pioneers, and Wilco Wolves). Thanks for your support of trails…way to go everyone!

Support of NCICL

The Alliance enthusiastically supports NCICL’s Teen Trail Corps program. Additionally, along with all other NC SORBA chapters, we provide senior student athletes with a one-year complimentary membership to SORBA (a dual membership with their local chapter). For more information about these efforts visit the league website at northcarolinamtb.org or feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help connect with league leadership.
