Update: Due to frozen conditions and the unfavorable weather forecast for Saturday 2/21, this work party has been rescheduled for 3/14. Same time; same place; same plan.

Original Post:, The Alliance started the new year by completing a Volunteer Service Agreement with the Grandfather District of Pisgah National Forest!

To celebrate, we will be holding a work party on Wilson Ridge Trail near the Wilson Creek Gorge. Join us for our first official workday in Pisgah at 9 a.m. on February 21, 2015.

Bring a lunch, work gloves, sturdy footwear, a hardhat (if you have one), and your bike!

Also, interested in helping as a Crew Leader? We have scheduled a separate trail training workday for Crew Leaders (along with USFS staff) on February 7 at the same location. If you’d like to be a Crew Leader in our efforts in the forest, please RSVP for the Feb. 7 date by emailing us at nwnc.mtba@gmail.com.
